Maserati builds some of the most characterful grand touring cars in the world, but they also demand knowledgeable maintenance that general shops often can’t provide. The Italian V6, V8, and classic V8 engines have specific service requirements, and the electrical and hydraulic systems on older models need a shop that’s comfortable with European engineering complexity.
Smyth Imports has been servicing European luxury and performance cars in Cincinnati for over 90 years. We provide maintenance and restoration services for Maserati owners who want their cars properly cared for without dealer pricing.
(Ghibli, Bora, Merak, Biturbo, 3200 GT). The classic Maseratis are beautiful machines with specific maintenance demands: the Biturbo-era cars need careful attention to their twin-turbo plumbing, cooling system, and electrical systems. Earlier carbureted V8s require Weber carburetor synchronization and proper ignition setup.
(GranTurismo, GranCabrio, Quattroporte, Levante, MC20). Regular service including oil changes, brake system maintenance, timing chain/belt inspection per Maserati’s schedule, and diagnostic scanning. The Ferrari-derived V8 in the GranTurismo and Quattroporte shares many service procedures with Ferrari’s F136 engine family.
Maserati’s automated manual transmissions need clutch wear monitoring, actuator service, and proper fluid maintenance. We diagnose and service these systems with appropriate tooling.
We’ll assess any Maserati before you buy, giving you an honest picture of the mechanical condition and upcoming maintenance costs.
We serve Maserati owners across Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana from our Cincinnati facility.
